We are the Diocese of Cheyenne.
The Diocese of Cheyenne encompasses the entire State of Wyoming, to include Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The rich history of Catholicism in Wyoming began on July 5, 1840, when Father Pierre-Jean DeSmet said the first Catholic Mass near Horse Creek, at the Green River Rendezvous, in present-day Sublette County. Since then, with our Diocese established in 1887, we have grown to 33 parishes and missions. Our state is a land of wide open spaces and sparsely populated towns, but our people are faith-filled and tightly-knit, bound together by a love of God, country, community, and a Western spirit unique to this special place.

Each year, we come to you, the faithful of the Diocese of Cheyenne, and ask for your financial gifts to support the ministries of our diocese.
Each year, we are blessed with an extraordinary outpouring of generosity and abundance from the faithful in Wyoming.
Each year, we are grateful to you for your generosity and for sharing God’s abundant gifts, lavishly bestowed upon us all, with our brothers and sisters across this great state.
Sharing our gifts is what leading a life of stewardship is all about, whether those gifts be time, talent or treasure. Living and Giving in Christ: Unity through Diocesan Ministries gives all of us the opportunity to be engaged with our Diocese - our local Church - with our gifts of treasure.
